Community Support Worker

We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join one of our community-based services in Stockport, which aims to provide extensive care, specialist positive behaviour support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community, in order to empower the individuals to take control of their own lives.  The main focus is to provide the highest level of support in order to enable greater independence, choice and fulfilment for the individuals.

Working Pattern – 32.5 hours (full time).  Hours range from - 9.00am through to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.  Some evening and weekend work is also required which is on a rota.  An enhanced payment is paid for weekend hours of +25% hourly rate.

Salary – £20,290.40 plus enhanced pay for weekend hours of +25% hourly rate.  

Full time equivalent salary for working 37.5 hours is £23,412.00

Location – Specialist Day Service Provision, Stockport a Together Trust Service.
The people we support have a variety of complex needs which may include learning difficulties, Autism spectrum conditions, including behaviours perceived as challenging, mobility, communication, health and social care needs.

We are looking for Community Support Workers who have the ability and resilience to work with behaviour, which may challenge, in a caring and consistent manner, including the maintenance of appropriate boundaries for behaviour.
